The money flow won't be constant. As soon as we see a market dip, the death wish for index funds immediately goes away, as they are fully invested in overpriced issues

A market dip is almost irrelevant. Now a major correction would be a different story.

For index funds to have a negative impact on any stock they hold, there must be net selling. So people investing in the fund must be pulling money out faster than its coming in.

I would contend the typical investor in these funds mindlessly (smartly??) contributes to this type of fund through regular additions like in a 401K, or a regular monthly contribution.

Now a true correction might stem this inflow, for awhile, and cause some short-term net selling, but it won't last.

Even the small investors these days, know to "buy the dips". There simply is no negative spin that can be placed on ASNDs addition to the S&P. The shorts surely know this. Probably why with general market weakness last week, the stock held up well.
