What A Remarkable Figure...
Can you imagine how many page views and eyeballs SEEK might get with better branding? Further, its important to remember that SEEK only began mass media, off-line branding in the last quarter of last year.
3%... I have no reason to question IntelliQuest's methodology... still this figure seems REMARKABLE.
Given this figure, you might wonder HOW Infoseek has grown its page views and eyeballs? But, they HAVE. So, what does that mean? Are there just currently a hard-core group of SEEK loyalists who spread the word among their geeky friends? I mean, I doubt, SEEK's figures would be this low in academia and among business users.
Further, may be this means that aside from much-needed BRANDING, SEEK needs to go to work, as it has this year, on Content and Community and Community As Content.
