Interesting how Intel is using a very different, low-key, strategy to defend itself, compared to the screams of bloody murder coming out of Microsoft. I think Intel's approach is much more professional, classy, and more likely to work.

I think you are 100% wrong on this. The FTC is declaring war, not only on Intel, but on intellectual property rights in general. Quiet capitulation and compromise in response to this assault on the free market will only lead to further and harsher attacks in the future. Intel should take a lesson from Redmond and fight back forcefully and publically. And on principle. When Intel (and MSFT) defend the rights to their own property, they defend my rights and those of every other citizen and business as well. This is not the Soviet Union. Yet.
