David: I have two cats. A male 17 lb Siamese about 13, and 4 yr old female 8 lb Maine Coon Cat. The Siamese is definitely the Alpha around this house. These two can not tolerate each other, so I have been the resident referee for Little Girl Cat and Boy Cat for the past 2 1/2 years since I brought her in for company for the him. I should have asked him first - the answer would have been a resounding NO! and it would have saved me vet bills for sewing up her chin and putting them both through so much misery. The fights have pretty much stopped, but it reminds me of that movie "War of the Roses". The house is certainly divided into two areas, his and hers, as designated by Boy CAT, and she observes and respects the boundary line :) c
