This what Chromatics wants a distributing partner to do. If they could manage this on their own in a big enough way to produce significant revenues, they wouldn't need a partner. My guess is that they sincerely expected to have a partner much earlier and underestimated the time-consuming complexities of the negotiations or have been holding out for a deal that's better than any of the big guys are used to giving. So what's possibly going on are offers and counteroffers with the potential partners feeling no rush to conclude a deal, maybe figuring that the passage of time places pressure on CCSI to make concessions while they simply proceed comfortably with their ongoing business. (Also, to wax a tad cynical, does this vaunted Lehman fellow work by the hour?) Disclosure: I'm not a long-termer. I'm not a promoter. I'm a shorter-term long-side trader who tries hard to be objective, and, at the moment, I have no CCSI position.
