baloney you hinted at 21 that we were going to go down a lot more...

that the end was near...

that LSI was misleading us...

that the insider sell by Garielov was esp. timed to be made before the Echostar loss...

etc etc...

certainly not a positive picture or a sign that you thought it was a bottom...

unless of course like a lot of people you were just sweating bullets and panicking big time...

maybe you need the exercise more than I do...

to calm those frayed nerves...

----

a lot of companies are chasing but LSI with STM and a few others are unmistakably in the lead...

the next few years the revenue in many of these segments should show the characteristic explosive exponential type behaviour that is typical of product cycles...

at that point it won't matter if Bob or Tom or Dick or Harry want to get in - it will be too late as the companies in the lead will put even more distance between themselves and the chasers...

again there will be plenty of work available...

few competitors mean better margins - check out LSI's not so dramatic margin reduction and note that we will be getting at least 2-4 or more GM points due to start ups etc this year... (my baseline is for GM to be around 45-47% l/t)

if not then do you think LSI go back to the PC business?

you also said 'every coin has two sides' as you posted the IBM article...

you are fishing for disastrous news when there isn't any...

the disaster occurs if the world goes into a recession and everyone stops buying but that's a macro event and I have no interest in wondering or considering the effect of such global things...

when one is designed in the only thing that could go wrong is that the end products do not sell...

since there was no inventory build in LSI's end products the only thing that could derail the train is the world or Japan disaster takes on ominous proportions...

besides many of LSI's true Viagra type products are just getting going and the fabs have started producing these chips and since the initial ramps are relatively independent of demand (and there was no inventory at all), LSI should do all right as these new products which again ARE IN PRODUCTION RIGHT NOW, will serve as buffers to any serious worldwide declines in demand...

----

Anyway this is all rehashing of old stuff...

and it is getting really tiresome, boring with a capital B...

if you want to add any real new stuff (like Sid did in his excellent post) then I'll reply but otherwise the mute button on this topic is now on...

again I'm not selling my LSI - if you or anyone else is not convinced it is to your benefit to SELL and SELL now, it is NOT my job to convince any one to hold or buy LSI - that is an individual decision...

----

Yes and I did go out today...

it was good - running in the pounding rain - best feeling in the world...
