Flyguy, you said in part,

>...Carbon fiber precursor requires a "pure" acrylic with some special processing during the spinning process. This is why Zoltek cannot just use the Hungarian acrylic for carbon...<

In press conferences or CNBC interview (can't remember which) Zoltek said that the reason for buying the Hungarian acrylic plant was to reduce the cost of precursor by (my recollection) 50% from the present single source supplier (which I assume is Courtaulds). When you say that "...cannot just use Hungarian acrylic...", do you mean that Hungarian acrylic needs additional processing, or that it is unusable for carbon-fiber conversion? Perhaps Hungarian acrylic is usable only in production of chopped fiber, -- and if so, it makes for cheaper chopped carbon-fiber?? If otherwise, then why the Hungarian plant?

Thanks,

Tulvio
