Steve - Re : "Any ALpha workstation (same as any Pentium high-end workstation) is equally capable as a workgroup/mid sized server."

You clearly haven't kept up with the SERVER industry over the past 5 or 6 years!

SERVERS are typically configured with multiple, redundant power supply systems, internal hardware monitoring devices for temperature sensing, air flow sensing, fan RPM sensing, CASE/ENCLOSURE security sensing, high speed I/O support, Multiple Hard Disk Drives with Backup up and Disk Mirroring for failsafe protection, hot-swappable PCI peripherals, Hot-Swappable Hard Disk drives to allow maintenance without "downing" the system!

ANd you think a fire sale $2000 Alpha Workstation is going to fit the bill as a server?

Better brush up on the SERVER industry.

You have been too long immersed in cut rate $599 MediaGX boxes.
