WW, when I speak of people on this thread trying to influence others, I certainly was not talking about people like you and Sword. I'm talking about those who seemingly spend their time either bashing others or trying to get others to sell or buy. I'd personally just like the information, I'll make up my own mind as to whether I think the stock is for me or not. If my opinion is different than others, it's my money and nobody's decision but mine. I've spent a little time daydreaming about a "what if" scenario, but that's my prerogative.
I was particularly interested in Sword's comments, because even if this particular engine is not the future of the combustion engine as we know it today, something is definitely needed to meet all the new pollution standards coming forth in the near future. For example, I'm in the Marine Business and there are places in the U.S. where the two cycle engine is banned simply because, at its cleanest, a two cycle engine is much dirtier than a four cycle engine. Four stroke technology is now offered in some outboards, but the four cycle drawbacks that have to do with weight, physical size etc. still apply. If this or other engine designs might provide a breakthrough in size, emissions, and cost of manufacturing, it will be of great advantage to my industry.
From what I saw at the OX2 demonstration, this engine offers the advantages of low emissions, low fuel consumption, and low cost of manufacture. If it can be proved that it will live and if it produces the H.P., emissions, fuel economy, etc that is claimed, it would be a boon to the marketplace. Granted, there's a whole lot of "if's" above that will have to be proved before it is commercially viable.
I would agree that if there are patents issued they appear to be invisible, however, I can't feature any sane person making claims that can't be substantiated. Jail time to someone making those claims should be a pretty good deterrent.
Thanks again for the info. |
