I agree, it would be nice to hear a little reassurance from our Captain Rick.
Here's a couple of questions he might be able to give us some insight on:

There are still some development issues to be solved in terms of light sources for mass-market consumer devices, so let's assume these problems are never solved and MVIS never has a consumer-based business. Then we still have opportunities in aerospace and medical, where suitable red, blue and green lasers are even now being used by MVIS in their prototypes.

My question is, what could we expect each of these two markets to amount to in terms of annual sales for the industry as a whole? Does MVIS have any basic marketing research that can give us a sense of how big an apple we'll be trying to get our teeth into? Does the market potential grow rapidly between 2001 and 2005 or is it projected to be pretty flat?

Then, what is the single key reason why Rick believes VRD will be able to beat out the competition - whether flat panels, CRTs, or laser scanning devices using alternative approaches, such as spinning polygons. Maybe Rick will identify a different reason per competitive technology, but I would think he can share with us what he regards to be the most significant advantage. I'm sure he won't be tipping the opposition. It's a small community and they have had plenty of time to evaluate the threat VRD poses.
