yes and no.....

Verity had a product while I worked there that was not fully developed yet that provided "Intelligent Agents" to GO FIND your area of interest.

However, as with several of their products, they were especially good for the oem, Verity's end user product(s) were weak.

I don't know much about Marimba but Pointcast is a product I'm very familiar with and think it is great. The major difference is that Pointcast is a viable end user tool while, Verity (did) was best at selling it's technology to someone who would bundle it and integrate it into their product.

For those who need to check themselves about people staying on and others leaving not cutting it, think about all the reasons people leave companies. Jumping to conclusions only reflects upon the speaker , not on the person who left.
