I am in my mid-40's spent almost half of my life in Asia mainly Japan, my wife is Japanese and until recently a senior VP in research at Goldman Sachs in Tokyo. I still have many contacts in the financial area in Japan and keep constant contact with them and others I know all over Japan. The article I posted a few days ago from Atlantic Monthly was the best representation I have yet read about what is really going on in Japan.
