Where I live we don't have many trees ...cactuses mostly so I asked this thorny question: "Cactus, Does JBL have to go to $100 for me to make a lot of money on near expiration June 40s (cost around $.25)" Answer .... "No. if the stock goes up $11 as it did a couple of quarters ago on earnings announcement day you'd make at least $5 per share on your $.25 per share investment ... 2,000%."

Hmmmm let's see...for $250 I get 10 contracts worth 1000 shares. In the above (cactuses) scenario I stand to make $4750. Sounds doable to me. Better than a night at the tables in Las Vegas ... better odds. Those damn cactuses are smart!
