Hey RealTime, I believe you that you have some DH friends. we're every where. And not to come off as brash, but we're not all uninspired. Actually, I have encountered few true heads that were uninspired. And, you'd be surprised at some of the inspired, and very successful Dead heads I have met and know.
Perhaps you meant unmotivated. That one I might buy. And I have met some real uninspired Springsten heads, Buffett (parot heads), and Petty heads. Oh, and how many inspired Spice Heads have any of us encountered.
If you think they think you're uptight, might I suggets loosening the necktie a little. If you don't wear one, then walk barefoot as much as possible, and a little dirt(optional) between the toes and finger nails helps also.
I also think that you coming to this thread at all is maybe a suppressed cry for help. I suggest picking up a CD or two (I would start off with Working Man's Dead, and American Beauty- or ask one of your friends to spin you a copy of some live show(s). It might take them for a loop, but I bet they gladly accommodate your request.
As you mentioned, you enjoy the music. Do you find any inspiration in the music or the lyrics?
