Elmo:
Hmmm, on the question of next quarter earnings, that's a tough one. I was expecting consensus to be closer to 6 cents (up 2 cents from 2Q), and NOVL could produce 7 cents, and beat the consensus by a penny. Either way, I think they will at least meet 7 cents, as some of their contracts with telephone companies (the multimillion $$ ones that were released a few months ago, but the amounts weren't reported biz.yahoo.com ) could be reported during the 3rd quarter, as well as the "First Look" program started in May 1998, to accelerate upgrades to NW4.11 biz.yahoo.com , getting the upgrade (first look) to NW5.0 as soon as its released. This would add a boost to the interim quarter sales, right? Oh, and yes, the share buy back program could add maybe 1/2 a cent at this point too.
Nonetheless, for the most part, I'm not as focused on this quarters 6, 7, or 8 cents report, but more so on the announcements and reviews of NW5.0 release, partnerships/deals, along with other new products rolling out.
