Says who? Have you looked at Barnes & Noble's? To my eye , they are pretty much the same; I have ordered several books from each in the last four months. The only difference was that the B&N book got to my house about three days faster than Amazon's order.
And I don't suppose that all the major retailers are just sitting on their hands right now. This E-tailing field will get quite crowded very soon , and Amazon will be a laughable also-ran.
And you're absolutely right - the CFO has cash , and all the others have at the moment is a dream.
