Maybe I'm wrong, but as the amplitude of the currency gyrations increases won't at least a percentage of individuals/organizations try to protect their funds by buying gold/Pt/silver? Where else can you go? If the $ tanks breaking the confidence in this "haven", I don't see any other places safe from the gyrations.

Did you hear that Japan's domestic economy imploded at an annual rate of 5% last quarter? WOW! Just saw it in the Japan Times yesterday.

Have you included the Y2K scenario into your analysis programs? IMHO it's something that should at least be given consideration.
