What would be your guestimate on a recovery in Asia?

Also, I made an observation this afternoon which may be valueless but here it is. If you look at charts for gold, oil and Asia, they appear to be moving in perfect concert. My conclusion is that when Asia starts to turn up so will gold and oil. Frankly, I think we are pretty near bottom. I'm half tempted to make my investments now and take a vacation for two years. When I return I'll probably be rich.

Now, I'll give you my prediction. In 1980 I said that it would be the decade of real estate and it was. In 1990 I said it would be the decade of US stocks and it was. For 2000 and beyond I believe it will be the decade for natural resources and Asia. I didn't pay much attention to myself before. Made a little in real estate and did pretty good in the market. But, in neither instance did I really pursue my instincts. I will not make that mistake a third time.
