<<Kill Labor and you kill the economy, the right wing hawks fears of wages causing inflation are over blown.....would like to have a look at just how much profit GM recorded in the last two years and compare it to how much they paid for the labor.>>

If I were the CEO of GM, I would tell the strikers, see ya, and move the whole darn company to Mexico, Asia whatever. This country has lost it's mind. How can I look my kids in the eye and tell them they should stay in school, spend thousands of dollars, and lose sleep cramming for exams in college when they can drop out in the 8th grade, call Uncle Louie, and get paid 40 bucks an hour to put lug nuts on a truck. By the time doctors pay malpractice insurance and repay their 10 years of school bills etc., they make less than a plumber or an assembly line worker that can't read his/her paycheck. We are so worried that the unemployment rate is getting too low. Well, there are a few who need a job in Michigan right now, of course they don't know how to do anything. Labor is over paid when it comes to blue collar labor. I am a tax eater myself. I am in the Air Force, have a degree and started as a flightline mechanic working computers when there was no such thing as a PC (hardly). I rewired circuits with 200 wires on each connector and worked 12 hour days, no questions asked 7 days a week at times in the Strategic Air Command. For my labor, I made $300 a month and got to borrow a house for my family. In the mean time, an electrician has to not mess up only 3 wires, they are always the same color and they always get hooked up the same way (black to brass will save your A##, white to silver and green is always ground). For this immense knowledge they made 35 an hour with time and a half over 8 hrs and triple on weekend over time. One of my high school pals works at American can, he gets paid $40 an hour to read a gauge once an hour. He watches TV the other 58 minutes. If the gauge reads wrong, he calls someone else to figure out why. Yeah my heart bleeds for union Strikes.

Sorry to get on the soapbox, but this really riles me up.
