Case Study and Panel Discussion to Explore Electronic Billing and Payment
ATLANTA, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- CheckFree's Mark Dye, vice president of corporate
development and marketing, and Hayden Reed, vice president/product management, will speak at
the Telestrategies Billing '98 Conference & Exhibition, June 15-17, 1998, at the Merchandise Mart
in downtown Atlanta. Telestrategies' annual billing show is the largest communications-based billing
event in the world; nearly 3,000 billing professionals from 32 countries attended last year's show.
On Monday, June 15, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Dye will participate on a panel of the leading
electronic billing consolidators to discuss the technology and business aspects of electronic bill
delivery and bill payment. Other panel members will include: Dawne Chandler (chairperson), vice
president of electronic services, International Billing Services; Steve Baumhardt, vice
president/marketing, NETdelivery Corp.; Eric Dunn, chief technology officer and senior vice
president of technology, Intuit; Bill Kitchen, manager/interactive delivery services, Bank One Corp.;
and Richard Pickering, senior vice president, MSFDC.
On Wednesday, June 17, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Reed will present a case study on
BellSouth, titled, "Implementing Internet Billing and Payment." CheckFree E-Bill(sm) partner Kirk
Browne, product manager/enhanced billing services for BellSouth Telecommunications, and Reed
will offer session attendees a first-hand account of the implementation process associated with the
rapidly emerging electronic bill presentment and payment market. Areas to be addressed include:
database configuration, data communication methods, customer enrollment and bill/statement file
formats, HTML bill template design/mapping, customer care impact, interactive/targeted marketing
opportunities and electronic remittance connections.
