Welcome Ollie

Re:Kluivert "and I'm glad he's gone for the next game bc he was playing very poorly. He has an attitude problem!)"

I agree with you 100%.

Re:Brazil-Netherlands 3-2 in 1994 about your comment being "robbed" well yes there were a couple of questioning calls but I think "robbed" may go a little too far. It was Brazil's destiny to win it in 1994<g>

"Seedorf almost single-handedly ruined the Dutch attack. Watch him - he has no talent whatsoever for ball control, and, when he does manage to retain possession, hogs the ball, blowing all momentum."

I agree 100% here too, especially about "blowing all momentum".

I want you to know I always pull for the Dutch. I am a forever fan from the Cruyff days (they used to call me that when I was a kid!), Rezenbrik,etc...and the total joy to watch their "total football" style.

Your comments about coaching and the federation were very interesting, thanks it explains a lot. I was wondering why Cruyf was not coaching. Kluivert and Seidorff were totally useless in the game and should not have even started. That Overmars guy is just a superb player. With a healthy Bergkamp they will go far but I do not think they are good enough to go all the way.

Eventhough Brazil is my sentimental favorite I think they will need a miracle to go all the way this time around. It is a pity that we don't get to see Gascoigne play again...such a joy to watch. If France had Cantona...too bad he retired. Did you see him in those very good Nike commercials?

"the United States will beat Germany. Yes, that's right: the USA will WIN."

Wow, that's a shocker of a prediction. I would love to see it! As far as USA beating Austria 3-0, after seeing Austria play I think that was not a good result by the US!!<g>

Again welcome here

George
