wow, are we starting to get it or what? i think the overall views expressed in these posts indicates the general perspective most of us share. the epa has to be very excited about the class v well and i would agree that there would probably be heavier enforcement of new and existing laws with the availability of this facility. i would even anticipate some large 'example' cases early on to send the message to business that a new standard of enforcement is in effect. i don't think the company is intentionally holding back information on the status of the well. in my opinion, (and it's just that, an opinion) i would think that the epa is very much involved (at least in an oversight/inspection role) in the progress of the class v well and that csma would be sensitive to their involvement and careful with the release of information. also, let's not overlook the potential value of Mr. Nelson beyond just oil and gas exploration. some of the largest polluters are oil and gas companies. with his credentials i would expect he has tremendous respect and many contacts. those aren't bad attributes for opening doors. anyway, just my opinion. cheers all, and welcome aboard MM.
