C, elasticity was yesterday's argument. Now the entire street knows there is no elasticity. Either you guys are looking for (I hate to use the word, but) suckers to sell calls to, or are truly out of touch with the latest. GM would hurt if their mix shifted towards cheaper cars. That's what ASPs are all about. Which category has more weighing in the mix. It doesn't matter if they have lower costs, if demand isn't elastic they can't make up the difference. This is a simple concept for you to understand and I refuse to believe you don't understand! Don't take up my time with this "our costs are declining" stuff. I hear enough of that from Meredith. Anyone who hasn't caught up with that stuff must be reading articles from May!
