True, but it's not always enough. Court cases can drag on for years and in the meantime the brand names of Intel and Microsoft can be ruined. When the FTC and the press assert that consumers need protection from the evil giants, Intel and Microsoft have to respond in public.

Here is a link just for you Francis. You can read what Billy Goat has to say in response to an earlier article in the Economist. He points out to the Economist that Windows is cheaper than what the Economist charges consumers for a subscription. :!
