No the gospel according to several analysts. Which one do you want
quoted. David James or John Hainey.?
First John Hainey+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Dec 97
" The Klipspringer project consists of 35,000 hectares comprising
several private and state land parcels approximately 60Km long and
up to 20 Km wide. In March of 97 Southernera discovered 2 parallel
dyke systems about 750 meters apart. The fissures named the
The main fissure the leopard has been traced over a lenght of 5 Km
and the Sugarbird over a length of 5.5Km. Widths vary from 1 meter
to 4.5 meters and diamond drilling has confirmed kimberlite to 250meters. My comment: This is the normal depth required to indicate potential of existing deposit. Limited bulk sampling on the fissures to date indicate .81 carats per ton with an average value of
approx 125.oo US per carat.
Most dyke deposits I am aware of are consistant in grade to 1000 meters., please refer to J.J Gurney report on Rex S. African fissure
deposit.

Further to note according to John Hainey.

However the potential of Klipspringer has increased enormously
with the discovery of several kimberlite bodies suitable for bulk mining
by open pit. The most important being the M1., a bulk sample of 145
tons of kimberlite representing various depths to 165 meters returned
an average grade in excess of 3 carats per ton and average value
of 142 US per carat. The company had calculated a tonnage of 685,000 tons for the first 100 meters., easily open pittable at low cost.
Currently a feasibility review is being prepared by Randgold and
Exploration which will retain the remainder.
The review is scheduled for completion before 97 year end and includes input from additional drilling and bulk sampling to confirm
grades., values and tonnage.

My comment: In light of the current circumstances., I dont blame
Southernera for withholding additonal drill and bulk sample results.
As far as proving M-1 any deeper., geochemical sampling and uniformity relevant to the S.African fissures i.e. Rex currently mining
at 500 meters is a pretty good indication of what lies deeper.

David James comments

April 16., 1997

One year ago today., Southernera was trading at about 9.00 C
the company had 22.6mil in the treasury (an 18.1mil financing was
completed 1st qtr of 97) and the aquisiition in the Camafuca/Camazambo kimberlite in Anbgolas was just being finalized.
At Klipspringer., some 6500 tons of BULK SAMPLE from the Leopard
Main Fissure was processed., with the recovery of over 5200 carats
of which 4823 carats were valued at an average of 107US per carat.
( Up nicely from previous valuations.}
My Comments: That must imply more than one valuation., not unless
you prefer to call John Hainey., and David James liars.
We being David James was modelling production at Klip at production rates of 500., 1000., 1500 tons per day which could produce pretax profits of 6 mil to 20mil range.

Now my questioin is where did you come up with Southernera assigning diamond values to drill results.? If you believe one cant
infer grades to fissure deposits being consistant in value and grade
to 1000 meters., than I suggest you refer to J.J. Gurney.,, and Kirklands paper., 1996 where S.A. Fissures are discussed in detail.

In reference to your dolerite sill., are your referring barren kimberlite
fissure.? It would help to more specific. Are you refering to Pre
Cambrian Transvaal dolomite which trends along the Harts River.,
Dolomite is not encountered east of the Harts river., according to Gurney and Kirkly.
Hell all fissures or dykes in S.Africa are hosted in different parent rock complexes starting with dolomite., shales as evidenced by Rex.
Whether Southernera encountered a barren dyke in the Klips project
is immaterial. Most barren dykes run parallel to economic ore bodies.,
As well each dyke or fissure has its own intrinsic qualities as to host
rock lithologies and economics. Dont start putting some bullshit terms
out here to confuse people.
You want to start describing different kimberlitic dyke deposits just say
the word Pal., which mine do you want to describe starting with host
rock lithology., indicator mineral trains., Group 1 or 2 kimberlites.
Do you want to discuss garnet assemblages between the different
kimberlite dykes in S.Africa.? Show me the conclusions that were
arrived at in making the statement dolerite sills.? You made the statement show us the source., so it can be verified., or is this another
bullshit lawyer trick.
As I recall and Vaughn has so stated., that grab sampling has been
completed over some extent on the dyke complex. In reality and may
not be the case with Southererna Subparallel subsidiary dykes can branch off the main dyke system and can serve as guides in location
offset dykes., Bosch 197l.., and I quote
"Bosch mapped two dykes in the Sover-Doomkloof Mitchemanskrsaa area., a main dyke which is actively mined and a
subeconomic intermediate dyke. The shale host rock is thought to be
the cause of of the more erratic behavior of these dykes compared to
the Bellesbank nearby."
So your real purpose here pal is to infer that Southernera dykes system is riddled with barren kimberlite. Well., that is quite an inference., do you mind quoting this source., on a public forum listing
the contact as to his credentials.,

So where is the bulk sample., why dont you ask your pals at DeBeers., they seem to be satisfied with 50 ton bulk samples in the
NWT., but suddenly Southernera has erred due to larger bulk samples. Your buddies at DeBeers as well have made pretty bold statements concerning the viability of the pipe cluster there without
reporting gem quality. Who are you going to believe., DeBeers which
has a proven record of shelving deposits., or telling JV partners their
is nothing prospective then coming back 10 years later to steal a deposit from a Junior which made the discovery.?
But hey that is the operational game isnt it., depress share prices.,
than make hostile takeover attempts. Just a last comment.,
DeBeers needs the Abers., Diamets., Rexs., Mountain Provinces more than they need them. Their JV agreements and past histroy prove a propensity to subdue economic deposits rather than develope them. My friend is the diamond., screw DeBeers and its octopus arms. Maybe the first diamond to be branded should read
