If the weakness in the market place were limited to NSIX, I could readily accept your premise. Could you look at the recent 52 week high low range for ACYT, CYTC, DIGE, NPTH and NSIX and tell me which of these industry leaders is selling anywhere near the high. In fact the most recent action of almost all of them has been quite negative. If NSIX collapsed at the time that all or any of the others were strongly climbing the price ladder, I might give credence to your supposition. Since NSI is the recepient of a number of BC/BS and similar type HMO's I doubt if your thesis is that valid. NSI's problems are far more deep seated in internal difficulties while the others are fighting a concerted battle by health organizations to either force a sharp drop in the pricing structure for automated and computerized evaluation and rescreening or avoid having to pay for it at all by ascribing what appears to me to be false data on the economic value of these new methods based on limited test populations. Those conclusions fly in the face of all of the data each of those companies filed with the FDA before having to go through extensive clinical trials to receive marketing approval. What you may be reading about is another blast from the entrenched forces of the "old School" against forcing health care agencies to pay what these companies are asking.
