A few points- 1. I personally did not believe that having 2 ide drives would be faster than one- So I tried it both ways- I documented the results on this thread several months ago but unfortunately it is hard to find the exact post. The results were ASTOUNDING- having diskbuff on a second physical drive increased the scan speed dramatically. 2. Make sure to take the data CD out of the CD drive- this will slow down scan speeds by a huge factor unless you have a superfast CD player. 3. I have downloaded the latest virtual and QP from their site- and it works fine. 4. A new user told me today that they were amazed at what you get for the money. Something to consider. 5. QPV is a fantastic workaround of MS output- eventually the programs will direct read QP data- however maybe not Metastock as they seem to want to lead the dance. 6. Brooke's web site has a lot of good scans - they seem complex in some cases but they are just small concepts knitted together. that's it for now..... g
