Bob, the problem with your argument is that you are acting persecuted. To me, if there are a bunch of people who are heavily armed, in open rebellion against the United States government, who also stage terrorist attacks like the Federal building bombing in Oklahoma, or this latest one where the militia members slaughtered the policemen, then the authorities are going to come looking for them.
That does not mean that there is a New World Order that is out to get the Christians!!! It means there are a bunch of criminals who have done very bad things and need to be brought to justice. As far as the press "slyly" saying that the cop killers were Christians who believe in the "end times" philosophy, I doubt that it was sly. It sounds like a statement of fact, just like the press reports whether a suspect is black or white.
Your analogy is inaccurate, as well. There was an enormous amount of prejudice in Europe against the Jews, but the Jews were not committing crimes or doing anything illicit or dangerous which gave the prejudice any rationality. That is totally different from the militia movement, which is heavily armed and in open rebellion. When its members commit crimes, they themselves create and further negative public opinion. The Jews did nothing like that.
I notice you are sounding more and more like a militia member. You are using the word "we" a lot, suggesting that you identify with them. And who is building the camps? The militia, or the government? That was not clear.
You know, Bob, there are millions of Christians all over the earth. No one is going after them. It is only when you try to secede from society and arm yourself to the teeth and commit hate crimes that you create a situation where, rightfully, someone might come and try to put you in custody. But that is because of criminal behavior, not Christianity at all. |
