I think you have the ORB confused with the optical drive (sorry, forgot the name) that was discussed on this thread a couple of weeks ago. I have no opinion about that product and don't see it as a threat because, as you rightly said, you can't write to it. (For now, at least.)

But the ORB is a different kettle of fish and yes, you can write to it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hyping the ORB, not am I an IOM bear. I just want to know if this thing really is out there. If it is, I think IOM has some serious competition.
