Not too many new computers going out with anything but Win9X, that's for sure. But some large corporate customers take those new machines, reformat the hard drives, and download the 'corporate standard' DOS / Win3X configuration. It is legal if they are MS Select customers and report it to MSFT, and that's one way MSFT knows how much DOS is still out there in corporate accounts.

And, after all, that's the market everyone's concerned with
Developers, sure. But as long as there are 45 million machines running DOS, MSFT has to support it and box makers can churn that base.
