I do not hate MSFT. I personally own MSFT over years. MSFT just like to push something which may not be technically right. I do not believe ActiveX will be cross-platform. Cross-platform means people can use all different computer, dump Windows and make MSFT lost money. I do not believe MSFT will make their product "open". MSFT thinks "open" will create competitors. All the JVM spec is open, all JDK APIs are checked by the public. Did you see MSFT show you the Windows spec or SDK spec? I like MSFT since they make money for me but I would like to see they give more contribution to this industry.

I do not know why you hate Java so much. Perhaps you know too little about this software. I remeber you get trobule to tell from the difference between 16 bit and 32 bit software such as asking 16 bit application supporting 32 bit VM. I have been a C++ developer for over 5 years and Java developer for 1 years. There is nothing wrong with Java. We can talk as developer to developr to make the concept more clear.

Sal : I hope you have the chance to get into Stanford and visit Bay Area. Then you will know MSFT!=Software && PC!=Computer.
