Interesting story. I can relate but in a different way. I work as a social worker. Been doing the same job for 14 years. The job meets my needs and I have a pretty good deal, but it is a job for me. My passion is stocks. Every free moment I get, I go on-line to check on my stocks, to read these threads, to chase my dream. The dream is to get rich and retire young and do this full-time. I don't know if I'll ever achieve my dream. If I do I'll probably drive my wife nuts at home all day, every day. It would be interesting to see if I got bored doing this full-time after a couple years. Heck I may want to go back to social work part-time as you've gone back to nursing part-time. You are right about finding the right balance. That balance is different for each one of us.
