Three New Distribution Agreements with International Republishers Extends Global Reach

SAN DIEGO, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM) today
announced three new agreements with international republishers, reinforcing its leadership position in
the worldwide Internet messaging market. These republishers, including Roderick Manhattan
Group, LG Soft India Private Limited, and Italsel srl, will offer QUALCOMM's award-winning
Eudora Pro Email 4.0 software to its existing and potential distribution channels in their respective
regions around the world. Through these international republishers, QUALCOMM will be able to
provide the most popular email solution to consumers in such areas as Italy, India, Asia Pacific and
the United Kingdom.

"People, regardless of geography, want to communicate quickly and easily," said David J.
McDowell, senior vice president of sales for QUALCOMM's Consumer Products Division. "By
using Internet-based solutions, international borders and time zones are no longer barriers to
communication. Through our new international republishers, more people can now access Eudora
Pro Email 4.0 and experience the power and ease-of-use of email communication."

QUALCOMM's globalization strategy for Eudora(R) products allows international republishers to
manufacture, duplicate, market, promote, sell and distribute Eudora Pro Email 4.0 software. These
agreements enable republishers to provide faster product delivery and improve response time to
distribution channels. Republishers' customers will now be able to purchase these localized products
and receive localized support in their respective countries.

Under the terms of their new agreement with QUALCOMM, the Roderick Manhattan Group will
supply Eudora Pro Email 4.0 software to its English language resellers and distributors in the United
Kingdom, as well as to distributors throughout Europe who offer English language products.

The current distributor for Eudora products in India, LG Soft India Private Limited. (LGSI), a
wholly owned subsidiary of Seoul, Korea-based LG Electronics, Inc., will now be an English
language republisher for Eudora Pro Email 4.0 software. LGSI will provide the software in 12
different countries throughout the Asia Pacific region, with exclusive rights in India.

In an agreement signed with Italsel srl, the Italy based republisher will supply the Italian-speaking
European market with an Italian language version of Eudora Pro Email 4.0 software. Availability is
expected during the summer of 1998. Eudora Pro software is already a well-known and respected
brand in Italy. Recently, Eudora Pro 3.0 received the Best Email Software award for the second
consecutive year from PC Magazine in Italy.

These new agreements extend QUALCOMM's existing network of international republishers. Kuni
Research International Corporation, a long-time partner of QUALCOMM, provides worldwide
distribution of Eudora Pro 3.0 in Japanese. Eudora Pro Email 4.0 in Japanese as well as the
traditional and simplified Chinese and Korean language versions are expected to be available in the
third quarter of 1998.

Eudora Pro Email 4.0 software provides users with an extremely powerful mail management tool
that supports the latest industry standards including Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
and Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML). The improved user interface includes a message
preview pane, floating dockable windows and a "make filters" command which allows users to
create mailbox filters with a click of a button.
