Micheal,

I personally do not own RTEC, however I started following it when I
started working with them. In that time they have gone from ~$7 to
~$3.5 and the points regarding the x86 dominance go a long way in
explaining this occurance. Ross occupies 2 floors(as you know) of a office complex in Austin, is in debt to their ears and is competing with companies orders of magnitude larger. Sun is deparately trying
to outpace the x86 architecture in performance and is having a
difficult time(this comes from a Senior Manager at Sun Research).
Sun cannot compete with Intel who have 15+ design teams on each
processor class and have teams desiging the 12x86(Six generations
ahead) chip today. And Sun wants to get out of Ross if they can get
someone to buy them out(but this is speculation).

But anyway, Ross has some unique products and could see growth if the
Processor Upgrade market catches on.

I dont mean to sound overly negative on Ross, but there are more
fruitful investments out there.
