Intel can't even get MMX chips out the door.. Now your going to talk about 400mhz chip announcements in the next few months... Reality check......... More and more consumers are demanding better performance at a lower price... I put together a P200+ Cyrix base system together for less than an Intel Pentium 200 mhz chip and mother board... My Chip is faster than a Pentium 200 My Mother board clock speed is faster than a Pentium Mother board (75Mhz compared to 66Mhz) My cache is faster than a Pentiums (512K Pipeline busrt in Linear Burst Mode vs Write Back) Bottom Line, I have a better system at a lower price... I've always used Pentium chips until now... I simply wanted to put together the best system, and did so while spending less money. I have nothing against Intel, but I'm tired of seeing people bash a Cyrix chip when they haven't even tried one.... If you want to see the fastest systems, pick up a Computer Shopper, The October issue Cover "Pentium Busters" where they rated Cyrix P166's over some Pentium 200's. Don't be so narrow minded and think that No one but Intel can come up with innovations...
