Robert,

Given that AMD and CYRX have minimal market share,no earnings, no tier one vendors, no brand recognition, no marketing, incompetent management, and are possibly on the verge of financial disaster, I think these relative multiples should be larger. It is not clear as to whether or not AMD and/or CYRX will even exist in a few years. Speed is only one part of the story. IMO, WS is much more concerned with EARNINGS than technical specs. Intel has proven over and over that it does not shy away from competition. At the beginning of the year the pundits were predicting that Intel would be hard pressed to maintain margins in 1996. Well what da ya know, Intel's margins have not only held but have actually been increasing do to favorable product mix. There is a good chance that margins will continue to improve as businesses gobble up high end Intel CPU's. Relative to Intel, AMD and Cyrix are trivial and speculative.
