Intraday-ranges.. and closings. To get a good idea of the strongest uptrending stocks, look at the stocks that are trading at least 90% of their intraday high. Many stocks fizzle out by lunchtime, check the ones that have continued strength (i.e.ABS,MSPG,SEEK,THQI,BGP,IMNT,CKR (up 5 1/2), SBUX, FMY.. etc) those are the ones you might want to hold on to.
