The law in your reasoning is that you are looking at Asia's economic situation today to predict the situation 2 or 3 years out. I remember how bleak the US economic situation looked in 92 when poor George Bush was vilified by every pundit on TV. Well, less than 6 months later, things started looking up. Only 4 years ago, California's economy was hitting absolute bottom-- it has now been booming for the last 2 years. Europe looked dead last year. Now all reports discuss the rapid European expansion. You can bet your bottom dollar that the headlines 3 years from now will be about the Japanese comeback. No country with a highly educated and disciplined work force stays down forever.
