An excellent post. The "beauty", if you will, of buying at times like these is understanding that this pain will not last forever. Oil will not go to zero. These stocks will not go to zero. I went for a long walk in the rain yesterday (not because I'm sad, just because I went with my girlfriend for fun) and thought about many things. One of them is that it is very easy to get caught up and obsessed with the negativity in one's life. I apologize to any of you who are suffering severe enough losses that it's affecting your lives. I've lost money too, but I'm not eating less, I can still pay my bills, and I still drive a car I like. My only point is that when all seems lost, you must find your own individual reasons not to give up on yourselves.

I know I'm just rambling, but I'd like to help if I can. Some of you seem so distraught, so desperate, please don't do anything irrational - financially or otherwise. Try to fight the urge to sell because of emotional reasons. Think about your sales. Think about how much worse you will feel if (and when) these stocks rebound, and you may have sold at the absolute low.

No one can call the lows consistently, but I for one feel very strongly that we are much closer to lows than we are to potential highs.

That is all. Pummel me if I sounded too mean, but I'm only trying to help out. Comments welcome.
