Hmmm. Dont we sound a little bit frustrated, Robert. Copycat products? Lets see, the transistor radio, the open reel tape deck, the trinitron, the cassette player (walkman)/recorder. Oh yeah, and then there is the CD player, the 8mm video/data recorder, high definition TV, minidisk, the PLAYSTATION ($5.5B in '97). Too bad American companies (outside of Microsoft) werent half as good at developing products. And remember, if Japanese car companies didnt kick our ass in the 70's, you could fly your flag on a 98 buick sporting WINGS.
