-- Internet Insanity: An item last week mentioned that now that the
hype is dead, it may be time to start taking a look at some of the
most beaten down Internet stocks. But David Simons, president of
Digital Video Investments in New York, who claims he has been waiting
``for interactivity to become investable for some time,'' says it
still may be too early to start hunting for bargains.

``There's going to come a point even more than today that nobody wants
these stocks, just as nobody wanted biotech,'' he says. ``That's the
time a true investor can start to look around and sort through the
rubble, and try to make some judgments.''

How will we know that time has arrived? ``You'll just know,'' Simons
says. ``There'll probably be a couple of catastrophes -- some major
flameouts of stocks.''
