Regarding the Social use of Viagra and Pfizer soul-searching Viagra was certainly not marketed for the gratuitous use of thrill-seekers. Indeed the company making it, Pfizer, was so concerned about the potentially explosive social impact of a drug powerful enough to transform an anxious under-performer into a rampant stallion that the launch was preceded by much soul-searching at boardroom level.
