I did what you suggested, that is pulled up the letter on AENG site and read it carefully. It appears that you and I look at the same words and come up with a different meaning. While the letter is a fax copy and is somewhat difficult to read, it says:

Re: (which has always meant refference to me) United States Patent Application Serial # 08/737,0?? in the name of etc., etc., etc.

The second paragraph says that "We confirm the Notice of Allowance issued December 1, 1997 and was received by us on December 19, 1998".

So I read that the Australian Law firm is confirming to AENG that a patent has been issued and the numbers will be forthcoming. If this is a fraud, and I doubt that, that would be a further case of fraud by AENG, and I just do not think they are that dumb.

I tried to go to the address you gave concerning "Greg's feigned surprise" and all I got was SI's home page.

Concerning your post #784

Objective conversation will never be put down by me, regardless of whether one shares my opinions or not. I have learned something about short selling during my time on this thread. I have also seen a lot of character asassination by both sides. The comments by Sword have been read and enjoyed by me, I only wish I was as smart as he is. I also respect the research done by wireless wonk. Even though he and I disagree about whether there are patents forthcoming to AENG. I will have to go back and read the comments by 246810, it's hard to remember what everyone said.

Nobody else will tell me, so I'll ask you.

If not to cover a short position, why would anyone make an after hours trade and pay more than the market price for almost eighty thousand shares of stock? Based on what the closing price was, and the sale of 80,000 shares at $21.00, looks like to me someone was out a quarter million dollars.
