my impression is that the driller guys are nervous, the majors are REAL nervous and service guys are trying to increase their product/service base offerings by buying smaller companies cheap. I think your impression is probably well-founded. At this point, oversold service companies that would make good acquisition targets may be the best performers in the short to mid-term. They have the most compelling "reason to buy" stories. But it's a tough day when TCMS shows great relative strength by only closing down 2.5% today. Baird
