CyberCash is no longer the leader in my view as a consumer of their service. I picked AuthorizeNet.com instead for credit card processing at our Web site greencompany.com (we sell Trader Tax Guides).

CyberCash requires a lot more work to implement with CGI script etc. I was told by credit card processor merchants (CardService and Humboldt Bank) that they are adding a monthly gateway fee of around $40+ per month. AuthorizeNet charges less than that.

CyberCash does not offer autoclose, AuthorizeNet does. CyberCash does not offer a virtual terminal, AuthorizeNet does.

In 12 months, AuthorizeNet has surpassed CyberCash in clientelle (I heard). AuthorizeNet is owned by Net Solutions, Inc., the domain registry company.

CyberCash has lost their edge and that probably accounts for the market drop.
