Whoa freeus, "Flashnet" Was ist das?
Ok man, if you were to take your home PC and attach to your network at your place of employment you would have a workstation. Further your PC would be a "client" of the workgroup/Network. Also all the machines at work that are attached to each other are considered Local Area Network (LAN) and most likley using "NetBEUI" prn{net buoy}. You however, will be atttaching via a Wide Area Network (WAN) via TCP/IP as a client.
Now heres the juicy part:
What is the LAN at work, Netware, Artisoft, Unix, Linux, Workgroups, Win95, NT or Apple Talk?
What service are they using, Client for Netware, Client for Microsoft, etc.?
What Protocol are they using on the LAN, NetBEUI, IPX, or TCP/IP
You will be using TCP/IP since you'll be on a WAN
Before you can get all this figured out, you'll need to check with your Systems Administrator so that they can "Grant you "Acount Level Access" and the above information.
If you lucky your Network will allow Win95 as a client and be really lucky if your system is 95 or NT. If you are so inclined to be this lucky then you can use your Win 95 "Dialup Adapter".
If you get this done you will be an at home "Workstation"!
Good Luck
