Ahhh, The Buzz of A Surging Stock... And A Crowded Room...

Wish I knew something, something definitive that is, but
I don't.

Funny, ain't it? Just a couple of weeks ago... one day
without posts in this room. Some proclaiming the death or
near-death of SEEK. Silly stuff. The thing about this sector
and this stock is that it is now and for the good meantime BUT
ONE DEAL AWAY from darling status... or even just one JUICY
RUMOR AWAY.

To those who can predict what events may hold, a tip
o' the hat... you have an advantage over me by a long (or
short) shot I just like KNOWING that I've invested in a company
that's attractive enough for Time Warner to have already made
a bid back late last year. (I'm convinced that this is Motro's
hip-pocket bid... the one he can always dust off should things
get edgy.) I like KNOWING that NBC has invested
millions in Snap! which has fewer eyeballs than SEEK attracts
in Japan ALONE. I like KNOWING that my money's on a
TECHNOLOGIST who is brilliant and a DEAL-MAKER who stands
his ground. I like KNOWING that there are some very interesting
NEW PRODUCTS in SEEK's pipeline. It was this knowledge that
let me and others stand pat when the stock was OUT OF FAVOR.

Best Regards, SEEKers,

c m
