Insider buying usually req'd by investment bankers for $.

Dee Jay- one crappy little company I worked for needed a bank deal. Part of getting the money was the President/CEO and VP of Sales both had to buy "significant" shares and hold them until certain terms were met, to demonstrate good faith. These guys had a lot on the line, because the shares came from their personal monies. Attitudes at the top changed much for the better when screw-ups were painful and frightening.

It is very likely that MRV's executive buying was a condition of a Pru financing deal.

Either way, I'm buying cheap shares. But it sure is scary doing it!
