For what it's worth, I thought I'd share some hindsight.

IDTI's relatively low indices, as compared with other "high-priced" technology stocks, lured me into IDTI three years ago. Back in 1996, I took a look at overpriced issues (TXN, INTC, ALTR etc.) and thought the relatively low-priced IDTI was a find.

I have since found out why. Despite their "diversified" product portfolio, decent financial position and good industry reputation, this stock has not recently (24 mos) performed close to its peers. My personal opinion is that they have not been able to communicate and execute on a long-term market strategy - is it WebTV, networking, PCs, commodity SRAM, or RISC processors? To quote the great Irwin M. Fletcher, "C'mon guys, its so simple!"

This stock is a bargain for a reason.
