I agree that patents are indeed intellectual property in a literary sense, but, in a legal sense, not all intellectual property is patented. I think there is a spectrum with considerable grey area in between. I'm concerned that if the Q had CDMA completely locked up in all respects, ERICY would not even be trying. These guys may have been born at night but not last night! The Q has shown the international community that it will not be run over. One of my initial concerns involving a relatively new, small cap company, was it could not afford to fight an extended legal battle with the likes of MOT or ERICY. I'm sure we all sense these guys would like to find some way to neutralize the Q, even if it is a buy out or some form of predatory pricing. They are certainly pursuing the political avenues. John Major apparently feels that patents alone are not enough protection. Any illumination would be appreciated.
